Export Data from Google Drive with Takeout

For a while now I have been looking for a good tool to backup very large folders from Google Drive. I have wanted to burn a DVD as backup.

I had previously come across the Data Liberation Front, and now it seems its been incorporated into the Google feature set more formally.
