I am not sure if I am the only one that doesn’t know about this new product, but Sugru is an amazing rubber that you can mold into any shape. I got some last week and played with it. It comes in a pack and when opened, you have 30 minutes to mold to any shape before it hardens to rubber. It will also stick to things, so you can use it to make mounts.
It’s not cheap, so with a bit of searching, I found a home made alternative called Oogoo. It’s a mix home silicon sealer and corn starch that produces durable silicon rubber when it hardens.
The main difference is that Sugru is much much more convenient than Oogoo. When you mix Oogoo you get a pretty sticky paste which can be hard to mold.
Right now the kids and I are wandering round the house looking for things that can be Sugru-ed or Oogoo-ed!
