I had
only played around with Joomla for about 3 weeks before deciding to purchase
the Lightfast template from Joomlashack.
I figured that if I *liked* what I was looking at, it would give me more
of an incentive to learn. I have
not been disappointed. The
template is infinitely adjustable with two-column, three-column, or full-width
display and the module class suffixes “built into” the template make
it easy to give particular focus to something on the page. Like ALL templates, Lightfast does NOT
look identical to the website demo immediately upon installation, but it took a
newbie like me less than an hour to get it looking the way I wanted it…which incidentally
was pretty close to the website demo.
It is a template–made to manipulate to YOUR liking! Not all websites should look the same,
for everyone has a different story to tell!
I
have to say that I was totally unaware of the MAIN selling point for a
Joomlashack template when I purchased mine. Support! The
lengths that the Joomlashack folks went to in trying to help me realize
my vision and getting my site to look the way I
wanted it to look. I do
not represent a large corporation or even a small business. I am one person with a website that
includes the things that I use on
the Internet. Maybe a few friends
will see it, but for the most part it is for my own personal use. I think a lot of template services
would have swept me under a rug someplace in order to deal with “more
important” questions, but to me the questions I asked WERE important! I was not treated like a low
priority–in fact quite the opposite!
They bent over backwards for me, and when I couldn’t understand their
solution, they logged in and made the changes FOR ME! I was not treated like an idiot because I had so little
experience with Joomla–they worked even HARDER to help me make it happen. If I ever need a different template, it
will be a Joomlashack template,
but I really love my template so they will REALLY have to out do themselves to
get me to switch from Lightfast!
(But…maybe in a different color someday!!!!!)
