SeniorNet

September 5, 2006 By barrie@compassdesigns.net Leave a Comment

Founded in 1986, SeniorNet is an organization committed to providing
adults 50+ with education for and access to computer technologies to
enhance their lives and enable them to share their knowledge and
wisdom. SeniorNet is now the worldÂ’s leading technology educator of
older adults, with over 240 Computer Learning Centers across the U.S.
and internationally and a vibrant online community at www.seniornet.org.

To help the organization celebrate their 20 years, they needed a special site for the occasion. We created a template that was optimized for accessibility, appropriately for its audience. It featured Federal 508 standards validation and dynamic text resizers. All wrapped up in a strong color palette that was easy to browse.

The Skinny

I am an entrepreneur, web consultant, author and educator.

I have been involved in starting a K-12 School District, a Private High School, and three web tech companies. I also wrote one of the original and best selling books on Joomla.

And I like sailing with kids.
