April 15, 2009 By barrie@compassdesigns.net Leave a Comment

Friends of Compass get a special $50 off the registration price. Check it out and register now– space limited

I’ll be running a session there, "Socialize Your Joomla Site"

"The web world moves fast, as witnessed by the exponential growth of
Twitter in 2009, along with FaceBook, YouTube and countless Social
Media sites and tools. So first, how can you find out what is important
on the "Social" scene; and secondly, how can you leverage the power of
Joomla! to harness the power of social media?"

The session coincides with a focus on social networking and web 2.0 marketing, like the announcement of the recent graduate course, Web 2.0 Marketing with Joomla Graduate Course and blog posts such as What does it take to build a Joomla community and Are Online Communities the new Blogs?

Book now for the CMS Expo in Chicago and I’ll buy you a beer at the bar ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Skinny

I am an entrepreneur, web consultant, author and educator.

I have been involved in starting a K-12 School District, a Private High School, and three web tech companies. I also wrote one of the original and best selling books on Joomla.

And I like sailing with kids.
